Tee hee

Its almost over...

Well, its been awhile. And this is totally understood considering what I've been up to all semester. For those who dont know, I am graduating in May so there's been a lot of pressure for me to do well this semester. And so far, I think I'm succeeding. We'll see how I do next week during finals. Well, all is well in the home. We've moved to a bigger better apartment and we absolutely love it here. Hubby's best friend and his girlfriend, and my new best friend from school (Mel) live across the parking lot and across the street from us. Oh! Mel's getting married! Hooray! And I get to be a bridesmaid! Hehe. Its weird. I skipped that part growing up. I went from flowergirl in my aunts wedding to bride. I lost my chance at bridesmaid a few years ago, and as upset as I was then, I know it was the right decision. At that same time, I also lost a friendship. Losing a friendship is never easy, but there were so many issues between us that never got resolved until that time. And by that time, it was too late for fixing. We still talk occasionally, but I no longer consider her my best friend. It's been nearly 4 years, and I wont deny that sometimes it still hurts.
Anyway, we still have the cat, but thats not going to be for much longer. My allergies have flared up and I've developed asthma because of it. Luckily, a friend of mine at work is going to take her so that'll be good. At least we know she'll have a good home. I'm still working at JC Penney...Still in security. Its hard to believe that in January, I'll have been in security for two years. My boss is gonna work with me and let me work one day a week next semester so I can work and still finish school. Oh, and a few weeks ago, my last grandparent passed away. My grandfather had alzheimer's so he didnt know who I was for the past 3 years. Its sad and I cried, but at the same time, its almost a relief. Thats so terrible to say, but let me explain. He was sick. We were all worried. Now, he's in a better place, no longer suffering, with my grandmother enjoying himself. like he used to when he had a mind. And we no longer have to wait for the phone call. Its really sad and I miss him, but I know he's a lot happier.
Anyhoo, I gotta get back to studying. Physical Chemistry...or PCHEM for short...is not my favorite subject right now. I'm out.

So, I have come a pretty sad realization tonight...I have no long term career goals. I have no idea what I want to do with the rest of my life. I know something in chemistry, but I dont know if I want to teach or do research. I dont even know if I want to go to graduate school. All of my friends know where they're headed. How come not me? Melanie wants to be a dentist. Vivian and Destinee want to be teachers. Ariel wants to be an actress. What do I want to do with my life? I dont know. I had to write a letter about myself for a scholarship I'm applying for and it asked me to explain my career goals. And as I began to write it, I realized that I dont know. Its very depressing that I have no idea where my life is going. What is also depressing is that I have been out of high school for 5 years and haven't done anything with my life. I'm still working part time and still in school. I feel like I'm going to be in school forever. I'm out.

Penny goes to the vet!

Today, around 3pm, Penny is going to get her first set of shots and a deworming! I have to work at 3 so Travis is going to take her. She is going to be mad at him! Also, we paid off our wedding bands last night!! Woohoo!! And, on Monday, our payoff on Travis' car goes through and his lien will be released!! Woohoo!!! So, that's $135 back in our pockets for the rings...and $200 back in our pockets for the car...plus with his raise...that gives us...an extra $500 back in our pockets every month! *breathes a HUGE DEEP breath of happiness!* It is so nice to be getting out of debt. Now all we have to do is pay off the credit cards, and all we'll have is rent, utilities, cable, car insurance, and cell phones. It is so nice to be slowly crawling ourselves out of debt! And who knows...if we do well enough, maybe we can move into that 2 bedroom apartment...hmmm ;-) I'm out.

A Proclamation of Faith

As many of you know, and some may not, I am a Christian. I was raised in a Christian home. I went to a Christian school most of my life. I married a Christian man, and we plan to raise any children we have in a Christian environment. I believe that Christ came to this earth and walked the land. I believe that He is God, yet was also man. I believe that He healed the sick, raised the dead, and performed numerous miracles while He was on the earth. I believe that after 30 years of ministry, He was crucified on a wooden cross and took upon Himself all the sin of the world...past, present, and future. I believe that He died and was buried in a tomb. I believe that after three days, He was resurrected and life once again rushed through His veins.

I believe that if someone, anyone, accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and truly believes this in their heart, they will one day be with Him in His amazing paradise known as Heaven. I believe that this is the only way into Heaven. I believe that the streets of Heaven are made of gold. I believe that I am going there. I believe that once I get there, I will once again see both my grandmothers, my grandfather, and meet my favorite person from the Bible - Daniel.

I believe that God has a purpose for everyone's life. Call it a destiny. I believe that even though, at the present moment, one may not know what their purpose is, but as times goes on, God shall reveal to them what plans He has in store for them. I believe that making my own plans can be silly, as God is the one who truly directs my path. I believe that if a certain direction is not right for me, God will let me know and show me the way. I believe that God never leaves my side and is with me at all times. I believe that if I stumble in my walk, God is quick to take my hand, brush me off, kiss my boo-boos, and help me continue on my way.

I believe that God is a forgiving God. I believe that He is just and patient and slow to anger. I believe that any sin, if confessed and truly repented of, is forgiven and is tossed into the Sea of Forgetfulness. I believe that God does not hold grudges and does not keep any records of my past mistakes. I believe that sometimes I am punished for my sins, but God always gives me ample time to come to Him for forgiveness first. I believe that every sin I have ever committed, even up until today, was cast upon Jesus as He hung from that cross.

I believe that God speaks to people in dreams, situations, and a still small voice. I believe that I can hear God's voice at times if I listen very carefully. I believe that God has spoken to me in dreams, and the things He speaks of always come to pass. I believe that God knows the past, present, and future and is everywhere at all times.

I believe that God blesses people who bless others. I believe that God does not want His people to live in poverty, but in wealth. I believe that the more you give, the more you will recieve.

I believe that sometimes God puts people in our lives for only a season. I believe that God has given us dominion over all the creatures of the earth. I believe that God has blessed us with pets to give us joy and teach us how to love. I believe that my kitten, Penny, is a blessing from God and a joy in my life.

I believe that with fatih, I can do anything. I believe that God has, can, and will heal those with any type of problem. Be it a 5-year-old's skinned knee or cancer that has plagued a woman for years. I believe that healing comes with faith. I believe that the faith of a mustard seed can move mountains and cast them into the sea. I believe that I can command the skies, cast out demons, heal the sick, and perform miracles through God working through me.

I believe that since the age of 12, I have been cursed with an allergy to felines that has tormented me for 10 years. I believe that God did not curse me with this allergy, but it was a work of the Prince of Darkness who works to kill, steal, and destroy. I believe that my spirit will not be killed, my joy will not be stolen, and my life will not be destroyed. I believe that starting RIGHT NOW, my allergies that have plagued me are completely gone. I believe that I am completely healed of my affliction and that the blessing of Penny is a blessing I am going to keep. I believe that God can heal, and I believe that He has healed me of any prior allergies to felines that I may have, and I believe this in Jesus' holy, precious, sweet name. Amen

This is a proclamation of faith. I make this not to show off nor for any glory for myself. I make this because I want the world to know that I am not ashamed of my beliefs and I stand firmly on these beliefs. You can agree with me. You can disagree with me. You can judge me. You can call me names. You can make fun of me. I do not care. For it is not you I live for, but God. Wanna call me a Jesus freak? Go ahead. I believe dcTalk put it best when they said:

"I don't really care if you label me a Jesus freak. There ain't no disguising the truth."

I'm out.

I just couldn't do it

Well, here we are on Sunday...and I just couldn't get rid of the little booger. She has stolen my heart and I'm just not getting it back. We've decided that we haven't tried everything yet. So tomorrow, we're going to go to PetSmart or the like and try some dander shampoo and I'm going to try to make an appointment at an allergy clinic to talk to them about what my options are. I just don't think I'm ever going to let her go. I am just too attached. I mean, she's my baby. It breaks my heart the thought of not having her anymore. It would be so lonely around here. Melanie made me promise that after 2 weeks on medication and with her having allergy baths that if I'm not feeling any better, then she needs to go. I just might have to lie. :-) We're beginning to think that I may have been having a reaction to the claritin. I've been off the claritin for a few days and no tightness in my chest since Friday. It is possible that the claritin was making that part worse. I dunno. Like I said, we're going to go to Atlanta Allergy and have me tested and find out what my options are. I'm out.
